The most famous champagnes from Moet & Chandon, is said to be Brut Imperial, Rose Imperial and Nectar Imperial, But also their latest addition Moet & Chandon Imperial Ice, has proven to be extremely popular. Champagne Brut:
Brut is a term applied to the driest Champagne, and sparkling wines. Brut wines are drier which means they contain less residual sugar than those labeled "extra dry." Extra Brut denotes a wine that's extremely dry, sometimes totally dry. Totally dry sparkling wines are also sometimes called Brut Nature or Brut Integral. A Champagne's sweetness will vary. Here are the classifications you'll want to look for on each bottle:
Ultra Brut/Extra Brut/Brut Zero/Brut Nature/Brut Sauvage: No added sugar
Brut: Nearly dry, contains no more than 1.5% sugar.
Extra Dry/Extra Sec: Slightly sweeter, can contain up to 2% sugar.
Dry/Sec: Can contain up to 4% sugar
Demi-Sec: Just sweet enough, can contain up to 8% sugar.
