The Glenfarclas Distillery was founded in 1836 on the Recherlich Farm at Ballindalloch in the heart of Speyside. In 1865 the distillery was purchased by John Grant for £551.19s.Od, and to this day Glenfarclas has been distilling whisky for six generations by one family; the Grants. After the death of John Grant in 1889, it was time for his son Georg to run the distillery. Sadly, he died shortly after, leaving the distillery to his widow Barbara. She gave the business to her two eldest children, John and George. George S. Grant's son John L.S Grant joined Glenfarclas in 1973, and succeeded his father as Chairman in 2002. John L.S Grants son is also in the business and represent sixth generation of whisky making in the Grant Family.

Glenfarclas 21 YO Speyside Single Malt

A dark amber-gold, full taste of sweet vanilla and smoked with a rich and long lasting finish. Glenfarclas 21yo is delicious stuff. A heavily sherried 21 year old from the Glenfarclas distillery. This offers loads of depth, a really thick dram with smoky chocolate feel.

Tasting:

Color: Dark amber-gold.

Nose: Intense and full of aromas. Sherried apple and orange, tropical fruit, nutmeg and almonds with slight citrus notes at the end, all held together with a vanilla sweet smokiness

Flavor: Full bodied rich and rounded develops slowly into fruity, smoky and spicy flavors.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth a smoky with a chocolate feel at the back of your throat.

Palate: Incredibly smooth. Barley-rich and rounded character that leaves you gasping for another sip.
